NISAR Satellite to launch, 6th Asian U18 Athletics Championship, Pope Francis, Osmania University’s Arts College, 1st Fast Breeder Reactor.

Key Highlights - 

1.     India declares a three-day official mourning after Pope Francis, the first Latin American and Jesuit pope, dies at age 88. 

2.     The ₹5,800 crore ISRO-NASA NISAR satellite launch, scheduled for June 2025, would monitor land changes, earthquakes, and the environment. 

3.     By 2026, Kalpakkam will have India's first fast-breeder reactor, which employs MOX fuel and strives to exploit thorium and reduce waste. 

4.     After the Taj Mahal Palace and BSE, Osmania University Arts College is the third building in India to obtain a trademark for its external design. 

5.     India won one gold, five silver, and five bronze at the 6th Asian U18 Athletics Championship, with Himanshu taking home the gold in the javelin.
